After serving as an Engineer in the US Army from 2007 to 2009, James embarked on a career that would see him excel in various roles, from production supervision to project management. His time in the military instilled in him a strong work ethic, discipline, and the ability to adapt to ever-changing environments—qualities that would later prove invaluable in the dynamic world of franchising.

James’ entry into the business world began with roles in production supervision and project management. At The Coleman Company, Inc., where he managed second-shift operations, James honed his people management skills, overseeing up to 73 employees. His ability to maintain effective communication, even in the face of language and cultural barriers, set the foundation for his future success in managing client relationships and building strong business networks.

His experience as a Project Manager at Minnesota Home Improvements and Retail Account Project Manager at Distinctive Cabinet Design further solidified his expertise in planning, scheduling, and relationship management. These roles involved coordinating complex projects, managing client expectations, and ensuring that production schedules were met. James developed a keen eye for problem-solving and negotiation—skills that would later be critical in his franchising career.

In 2019, James took on the role of Estimator Project Manager at Focal Point Fixtures, Inc., where he led production meetings, collaborated with clients, and delivered sales presentations. His ability to deliver cost-effective project outcomes while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction demonstrated his potential as a leader in business development.

The turning point in James’ career came when he transitioned into the recruitment industry, eventually becoming the Sr. Delivery Manager at INSPYR Solutions (formerly Ntelicor). In this role, James was responsible for the full end-to-end recruitment process, sourcing technology professionals to meet client requirements. His daily use of Boolean and sourcing tools, coupled with his mentorship of junior recruiters, showcased his ability to lead and innovate in a competitive field.

But it was his move to Conscious Capital Growth in April 2024 that marked his entry into the franchise business. As the Director of Franchise Development, James quickly established himself as a key player in the franchising industry. Working remotely from Scottsdale, Arizona, he took on the challenge of driving business development and franchise consulting for the company.

In his role at Conscious Capital Growth, James leveraged his extensive experience in people management, sales, and business relationship management to foster growth in the franchise sector. His ability to understand and address the unique needs of franchisees and franchisors made him an invaluable asset to the company. Whether it was developing multi-unit franchise strategies, managing contracts, or enhancing customer relationship management (CRM), James approached each task with the same dedication and precision that had characterized his entire career.

James’ success in franchising is not just a result of his skills and experience but also his ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
