Starbird, a prominent player in the fast-food industry, is showcasing its dedication to educators during Teacher Appreciation Month in May 2024. Recognizing the profound impact teachers have on shaping future generations, Starbird has rolled out a multi-faceted initiative that goes beyond simple gestures of appreciation.

A Commitment Rooted in Personal Experience

Aaron Noveshen, Starbird’s Founder and CEO, emphasizes the personal significance of this initiative. Having grown up with parents who were educators, he understands firsthand the invaluable role teachers play. Noveshen states, “Teacher Appreciation Month is an opportunity for us to express our gratitude and support for the dedicated educators who work tirelessly to inspire and educate our youth.”

Supporting Education Through Partnership and Donations

Starbird extends its support beyond words by partnering with two impactful organizations:

The Children’s Book Project: This Bay Area organization provides books and educational resources to underserved communities, fostering literacy and a love of learning among children.
Los Angeles Education Partnership (LAEP): LAEP champions education equity in Los Angeles. They work collaboratively with educators, parents, and community members to ensure all students have access to a quality education.

Starbird offers its customers the opportunity to participate in giving back throughout May. Customers can easily contribute a $5 donation towards education by adding the designated item, “$5 Education Donation,” to their online orders. Starbird pledges to match all donations received, maximizing the impact of these collective contributions.

A Special Week for Teachers

Teacher Appreciation Week takes place from May 6th to 10th, and Starbird has a special treat in store for educators during this period. As a token of appreciation for their hard work and dedication, teachers with a valid ID can enjoy a complimentary entree item at any Starbird location (except airports).

Starbird’s commitment to education extends beyond gestures of appreciation. The company established an Education Fund program three years ago, demonstrating a long-term investment in the development of its employees. This program allocates $5,000 per employee per year, allowing them to pursue educational opportunities at any accredited institution. This benefit encompasses a wide range of educational paths, including two- or four-year colleges and universities, online programs, technical/vocational schools, and language courses. This commitment to continuous learning and growth underscores Starbird’s belief in the transformative power of education.
